The title is taken from my own written work which I originally performed in the historical context of Ferguson, NYC, and Barack Obama as president. I continue to work hard af offering these sentiments to my daughters:"Remember that love and forgiveness are in our blood.Remember that honesty and trust are a part of us.Remember that sincerity trumps racism and bigotry.Remember that if it won't take your hand, then grab this world by the throatand give it the best you can."It's a tightrope we walk between joy/freedom and everything on the other side of that.
